PRAY WITH US
Dear Family and Friends,
After the horrible nightmare of May 31, 1999, we realized more than ever that everyone needs God's mercy. Divine Mercy is the perfect combination of justice and love and that is what's needed to stop violence and hatred. So we have been praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Divine Mercy Chaplet was given to the world by Jesus through revelations to a holy nun named Sister Faustina. Besides the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Jesus asked Sister Faustina to promote Divine Mercy Sunday, which He asked to be celebrated each year on the Sunday after Easter. Sister Faustina was canonized on April 30, 2000.
Living without Brian, that is, without seeing him and hearing him and watching his life unfold, has been a terrible heartbreak. But living with Brian, having his sweet spiritual presence all the time, knowing he has more happiness and more joy than any of us can imagine, knowing he will never suffer again, knowing he is able to help us get to Heaven now, is a wonderful comfort. How we wish we could just concentrate on his happiness and on doing good works in his memory. But thoughts of Brian bring thoughts of his killers and the eternal misery they face if they don't turn to God.
We are asking you to please pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet as often as you can, for Brian's and Aaron's killers, Terrell Yarbrough and Nathan Herring. Their conversion is very important to Brian and Aaron so let's help them attain this miracle - and a miracle it would be! God has given us an enormous task, but not an impossible one.
God bless you all.
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy
You can pray the chaplet on the beads of the rosary.
Begin with: one Our Father, Hail Mary and Apostles' Creed.
On the five larger beads: Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
On the ten smaller beads: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Conclude with: Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us and on the whole world (three times).
Then: Jesus, I trust in You (three times).
